New Concealed Carry Permit Application Class
This class meets Colorado State Requirements for a "New" applicant for the Concealed Carry Permit,

Under Colorado Law you required to take an 8-hour Class which mixes in the requirements set forth by the State Legislature and the Law that began in July 2025. HB24-1174 https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb24-1174 mandates 8 hours of in- person training with 'LIVE FIRE' qualifications. All training must be conducted by a Verified Instructor with a County Sheriff. **Our Instructor Euell Santistevan is Verified by Adams County Sheriff and one of the listed instructors on the County Sheriff website (#20250003) https://adamssheriffco.gov/concealed-handgun-permits/verified-instructor-list/
Class instruction will be centered around the following list which is not all inclusive of the full class.
- Knowledge and safe handling of firearms and ammunition;
- Safe storage of firearms and child safety;
- Safe shooting fundamentals;
- Federal and state laws pertaining to the lawful purchase, ownership, transportation, use, and possession of firearms;
- State law pertaining to the use of deadly force for self-defense;
- Best practices for safely interacting with law enforcement personnel who are responding to an emergency; and
- Techniques for avoiding a criminal attack and how to manage a violent confrontation, including conflict resolution and judgmental use of lethal force.
A student must achieve a passing score on a written concealed handgun competency exam and in a live-fire exercise to complete an initial concealed handgun training class. An initial concealed handgun training class must provide at least 8 hours of instruction, including the live-fire exercise and written exam.
Certified Instructor with over 20 years' experience in Firearms, Medical and Hand to Hand Self- Defense.
Our Range- is an open-air private range located near 128th and Tower. (Please dress accordingly for weather)
What you need to know-
- Something to take notes with
- Appropriate clothing for indoor class and Range Time. (No low-cut shirts, or open toed shoes) a hat and sunscreen are highly recommended for Range portion.
- 100 Rounds minimum for your firearm.
- Ear and Eye Protection required while shooting.
- A good attitude and mental well being
**First part of this class will be held at the Anythink Library located 5877 E. 120th Ave. Thornton, CO 80602. (120th and Holly) then there will be a break for lunch and travel to the range 18 minutes east. The class will conclude with practical skills, drills and Live Fire Qualification at our Private Range. (128th and Tower) **Exact Address will be given during the classroom portion.
